Tankless or Demand-Type Water Heaters

An On-demand or tankless water heater provides hot water only when it is needed. That is, they don’t store hot water. Some tankless water heater can last up to 20 years and even longer especially when they are properly maintained.

A Tank water heater, on the other hand, cannot last that long because they are prone to leaks which leads to water damage. Another interesting thing about a tankless water heater is that they don’t produce standby energy losses that are associated with a tank water heater.

The result of this simple process is an infinite supply of hot water, therefore eliminating the need to wait till a storage tank fill up and heat up before use.

Some tankless water heater can produce from 3-5gallons of hot water per minute. This amount can further be increased if the water heater uses gas as a heating source. If you need a lot of hot water on a regular basis, getting two tankless water heaters will be a great option.
